Most of all, it’s ripping our RenB to shreds. I don’t talk to invisible sky-fairies, but I try to keep my beloveds in the front of what’s left of my mind. I only ask that y’all do the same.

If I can hear from Ren this weekend, I may be posting his PayPal addy, because the trip to Peter’s hospital ain’t cheap. Y’all’s love is always appreciated and never forgotten.

Redcane is, as always, generous to a fault, but it's not enough to cover this sucking-chest-wound rot-hole of an "apartment," where all the a/c is loose in the attic and I keep getting HUNDRED-FIFTY BUCK FUCKING ELECTRIC BILLS from the demon-spawn known as Entergy (aka Dick Cheney's favorite suppliers of anal lube). A one-person apartment with two senile cats, and they claim that I'm using 1200+++ kw/hours a month. RIIIIIGHHHHHTTTT. I'm also Batman AND Wonder Woman.

I sure as hell hope that I can get through the month without losing the world's worst monopoly as an ISP, but if not, there's a brand-spanking-new library over across the tracks. Granted, I've gotten lazy since converting to FireFox, but mebbe they'll let me bring my machine & all its appendages.

No updates on Jada today, or yesterday, or the day before. She's home, but with a fucking FEEDING TUBE stuck into her caramel-candy belly, that poor angel. As her brain becomes more alive & more aware, her body's going to shit. Worst possible fucking nightmare, and I'm not there to do a damned thing to help. If I hadn't been FUCKED into this money-sucking hellhole, I'D BE IN NEW ORLEANS RIGHT THE FUCK *NOW*. But thanks to the idiotic machinations of the Fallen Uterus, I am, once again, screwed into a shit-hole excuse for living arrangements (yes, somewhat better than being homeless/sleeping in the truck, but a million times more restrictive/discriminatory), and no idea when I can get the fuck OUT, let alone get the fuck HOME.

Our own Mentis just celebrated quite the milestone on the 12th (I'll let him tell y'all which, whenever the hangover wears off... heh heh heh...), and even if I don't get a prezzie to Kiwiland anytime soon, he knows that I'm singing a XXX-rated version of "Happy Birthday," mixed with a perverse rendering of "Happy Happy Joy Joy...", yeah? Sorry to be belated, my friend, ain't enough space for all of the lame excuses. Hope to hell that you enjoyed the fuck out of yer birfday.

And a woman who, despite trying to drag me into her new age all of this damned time, has hung with me for nearly a decade, through some of the worst times of my life (yes, including now, shaddup you jackasses), and who deserves a Congressional Medal Of Honor for that alone, not to mention all of her own achievements: our dearly-beloved MAGS has a birfday on the 31st!!! Again, considering how ancient that *I* am, I don't "out" ANYBODY'S age, 'cause I know what you rat-bastids will be doing to me in October... and hopefully, I'll be well and thoroughly sedated for the experience. Were it not for Realist's work and generosity, us getting off of the Blogger domain would NOT be possible. Mentis & I were working on numerous new names for the blog on more freebie Blogger blogs, but honestly, I don't trust those fuckers any farther than I could throw them, so while I will always appreciate Mentis' expertise, generosity and patience in helping me to try and save this entity on Blogger, I can't EVER trust the globe-eating monstrosity that is Google to not fuck us dry, hard, no hug, no kiss, no reach-around, YET AGAIN.

Not trying to show off my deathly pallor here, but it's the most recent photo that I have of Miss Jada, my beautiful and beleaguered great-niece.

Just hope that y'all can keep her in your thoughts for a few days --- she's undergoing some radical new brain surgery on Friday, that will hopefully finally allow her to have a life. I'm hoping that it will enable her to crawl, speak, and participate in her own life, as she's been trapped inside a body that won't co-operate all of her life.

We all already know the whys and the wherefores, and the motherfucker who did this to her still ain't in prison. Knowing his arrogance, he'll probably BE THERE, which ratchets-up the likelihood that Annti will be needing bail-money this weekend.

But none of that really matters --- all that counts is that Jada not only survives, but that she is able to finally get the life that every child DESERVES, a life of her own. To play, to communicate, to laugh & sing, to run and let those long legs finally win... Everything that everybody wants for their offspring and otherwise-related chirrens. So if y'all could just keep her in your thoughts (y'all KNOW that "prayer" is about as effective as the bottom layer of a pyramid scheme), I would be immensely grateful. Thank y'all.

This took place some days ago in my back yard, up in Vienna. As my friend said, check out the women in back relishing the day and pigging out on ice cream.

Update: I am putting a disclaimer on WHERE THIS TOOK PLACE for the time being. I have been trying to research this one thing, and have been looking for more than three days before even posting it. I cannot find hard evidence to prove that it WAS in Vienna. It might be a foil to stir uprage over immigration and racist sentiment. The video itself, well, it proves that that 'ritual' takes place, and I condemn it, but not finding hard evidence that this was in Vienna bothers me. If it turns out that a lot of people have fallen for a scam to intensify hate, I will pull the video, and formally apologise. And I am still looking hard. Because I am not fully buying the fact of the where.

Ok, Google had some new references, don't know which came first the chicken or the egg, but they were all white supremicist sites. It's a scam. I have a sneaking suspicion that there is an Austrian connection, but can't prove it, so will shut up.

Will only leave this a bit longer.... at my place, but I think I have a lead on where to look. And apologise for falling for that. And I think I know where to look now....

have been reminiscing....

have been going ON about dispersants and yelling 'Danger, Will Robinson!' at my place.... more or less...... Was talking to Terrible today about guys and cars from my point of view, being a klutz.... And I had a throw-away line about being five, and not being afraid to get dirty, because my folks were being divorced, and I was farmed out for the day, and he was doing the best he could.... and this one couple said, I had to clean a hen house. I was a trusting child. I got a pitchfork, a shovel, a wheelbarrow, and the poop was knee-deep. I was hoping to find an egg for them, that is how stupid I was. The smell was so acrimonious, I hated it. But I did it because I didn't want to dissapoint anyone, things were horrible enough, and I hated them.... To me, it was a huge HUMOUNGOUS hen house. Things look that way to little people. But am sure it wasn't small....

It took hours, and I got a meal. And then was seriously sick for two days. Something I breathed there made me very ill.

So this is something without verification ever. I don't know to this day what made me so ill...

Don't even wanna GO in the back-view mirror.....

On the 14th, I horribly neglected and utterly deserted the one, the only (let's hope, anyway!), the inimitable RIGHT REVEREND JERRY GLORYHOLE, one of THE snarkiest/wickedest mofos on alllll teh best blogs, and who has left some damned colorful cartoons in my dented noggin' on more than a few occasions... I hope that he can forgive my neglect, and that I won't wake up to any little "missionary visitors" @ 7A anytime soon, 'cause it'd be a REALLY hard explanation for these bass-ackwards, rednecked cops around here to grok, as to why I made salsa bowls outta the missionaries' skulls, to hold all of the delightfully-chunky, bright-red "sauce" that was left over... plus, y'know, since he won't tell me what the fuck he WANTS for his birfday, I might have to get CREATIVE, which, as we all know, is a dangerous proposition...

On the 19th, one of THE most amazing broads I've known in a long damned while, the ever-elusive yet always attentive, endlessly inspiring MIRELE, passed another milestone (which, I've been told, is a helluva lot easier than passing a kidney stone!) towards accumulating even more wisdom, though she generally tends to be wiser than she has any right to be any-damned-way. I just hope that she (as well as the Righteous Rev) went out and had one HELLUVA good time and slugged-back at LEAST one good tequila shooter in my place, since I couldn't be there OR drink. Yeah, I know, "Waaaaaahhhhh!" Shaddup. And Mirele, dear heart, if you don't give me some kinda hint as to what you want when I *CAN* send you a birfday prezzie, you may very well get some free videotapes & "literature" delivered to YOUR house one Saturday morning... hee hee hee...

And lastly, on the 26th (a full moon and the day I'm cutting my hair off again to donate to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths wig program, so it must mean *some* good omens for HIM!), a man after my own heart (if not my very odd collection of tchotchkes, since he ain't gettin' the cats!), the adorably vicious, pointedly honest, and enthrallingly enraged upon occasion, our dear friend Captain Bat Guano, commenter, blogger, hell-raiser extraordinaire. Hello,
I'm writing because I'd received a voice mail from someone who said they were an officer of the DC Police. They were calling about a false report of an alleged threatening email reported by Congressman Peter Welchs office. I had been out of town for work and only heard the voice mail last night. My voice mail doesn't save the message after I listen to them and I'm afraid I did not catch the officers name. And when I tried to return the call my online call program said the phone number was invalid. I do have today off from work though and will be home most, but not all, of the day.

As far as the "threatening email" goes it was clear in the email that I was saying that I believed certain actions by the Congressman constituted capital crimes and that I thought he should be prosecuted for that. It in no way, shape or form suggested that I was raising a lynch mob. Even if I had the time and energy for such activities I am no vigilante! What I am is a concerned and active citizen and veteran who is an officer of the local group of American Mensa. To say that I would be involved in sending actual threatening emails is a far stretch and more then a bit paranoid schizophrenic.

I would strongly suggest that the DC Police Department request the actual email in question from Congressman Welchs office and careful read it for themselves. With special attention to the sentence containing the words "judge" and "sentence", since that makes clear my opinion that legal action not illegal vigilantism was called for. And if appropriate bring charges of filing a false report against whoever in Congressman Welchs office did so. I am ashamed to see someone from my Congressmans office waste the DC Police forces resources in such a manner.

Ever Been Homeless?

It isn't a picnic! It isn't an adventure! Nor is it something people chose. Yet it happens to hundreds of thousands of Americans. More so during tough economic times. So many Americans take the simple necessity of shelter and a place to call your own for granted while sneering at those less fortunate. While they themselves are but a paycheck or one small mishap away from the same fate.

As most of you coming here know our own Annti finds herself in this frustrating situation now. Annti has been evicted without cause as of this past Friday. And despite heroic efforts to find a new place before then she has been ignored and run around by countless housing organizations throughout Louisiana. Separated from her feline companions and struggling to find a place for them to be together again. Familiar possessions, which we all surround ourselves with over the years and give us that comfortable concept of "home", boxed up and locked away in storage. Each day not knowing what that night will bring, a safe secure spot to rest or harassment for the offense of being alive while homeless.

And as most of you coming here know Annti has some serious health issues. Most of them caused by her unselfish helping of others in need. Whenever the need arose Annti is always trying to do whatever see can for those in need. All the while facing many unfulfilled needs herself. And now her situation is one where she needs the kind of support that she has always been so willing to give to others.

I saw this on the news this morning before I crashed (moving fucking HURTS, btw, even just to the storage unit, when you're doing it alone), and had assumed that they'd have found everybody by now.
NOT SO MUCH. 10P news outta Lafayette sez they're still searching for up to 11 people/bodies. They can call it by the subcontractors' names all they want, but it is a BRITISH PETROLEUM RIG. After the Dutch (Shell & others), Saudis & Rockefellers (Standard Oil/ExxonMobil), BP is one of the biggest operators here in Cancer Alley. Like cockaroaches and toxic waste, they everywhere, they everywhere! From the top of Cancer Alley @ the Mississippi Line all the way through Klan Central, where one of their biggest natural-gas pumping stations is located not 2 miles from where I "grew up," British Petroleum owns a big chunk of Louisiana.

But, apparently, do not hold themselves responsible for safety management on their fucking rigs. At least not according to the HuffPo version of events... AND YET, they and their lobbyists are some of the chief pushers/movers & shakers behind that ECOLOGICAL HORROR known as the proposed LNG (liquefied natural gas) "port" across the oil-company-produced DEAD ZONE in the Gulf Of Mexico. Coincidence? Trying to make something "positive" out of all of the ecological damage that they & the Rockefellers have caused?

29th: RAFFLES, aka RenB's pops, a 92-year-old wonder, WWII vet, dirty old man, and sly fox at the creep-up-on you sarcasm that never fails to impale. If he ever goes in for surgery and doesn't tell people where he's gonna be, if/when he gets out, AGAIN? 'Sgonna be some discrepancies up in New England, is all I gotta say.

Lost track of her in the past few years; nope, will NEVER watch "Overrated Hausfraus," sorry --- but she made a very true and lasting impression on me through "Designing Women," back when "Feminist" was something to be proud of, rather than shunned/loathed. Hal Holbrook, as I'm sure he knows, is more than a truly talented human being, he's also one damned lucky man.

And on THAT lovely note, back to packing. 100+ years ago, when I was in radio for about 17 minutes, we all said, "we'll dust when we move," (much like "I'll sleep when I'm dead," which never happens in that order) implying that I had some hope of getting the fuck outta Dodge via a radio career, and honestly, as I've never attached any "moral" or other value/worth to housework, that worked fine for me. When ya ain't got no storage unit nor upcoming domicile, it's just futile filth and wasted work. And I know, I'm hardly anyone that Dixie Carter or "Julia Sugarbaker" would admire (or even "Charlene Frazier"), but them's the breaks, sugar-cakes.

BIGGEST. JOKE. OF. A. "HOSPITAL." ON. EARTH. Names, phone numbers and home addresses available upon request. Then five days ago, my heart, my sweet boy Ginger, didn't show up for dinner or after-dinner group-grooming gatherings. Ever again. Then TWO FUCKING DAYS AGO, same for Bob. No evidence of corpses on the boys, just "disappearances."

I want to put up pictures of ALL of the beauties who have been mangled, tortured, poisoned or simply "disappeared" by this disgusting example of alleged "humanity," but I don't wanna take up the entire blog with it tonight. Maybe I'll pay tribute to all my lost babies on the storage space when I'm able... every loss still hurts like it was today, and it always will. And of course, when relating the information that even BOB no longer shows up for dinner time (which would, in "normal" circumstances, take the entire defensive line of pick-yer-"sport" team, to keep that boy from free food and a chance to order me around in that cocky voice of his... never feral, but definitely a survivor... until now.) to the Fallen Uterus, it automatically goes to how this is MY fault that they're dead, 'cause if I'd have left them alone, never fed them, never gotten them neutered or rabies shots, then the sociopathic serial-killer wouldn't have "noticed" them and killed them. Yup. It's official. I have applied, since July of last year, to multiple disabled/subsidized housing units in Lafayette, Zachary (retch!), Baton Rouge (gag!), Lake Charles and... brace yerselves... KLAN CENTRAL (don't even get me started...), as well as having waited the past THREE FUCKING WEEKS to get a CLEAN-SHEET BACKGROUND CHECK FROM THE FAMOUS BIGOTS @ NOPD so that I can apply to my DREAM APARTMENT in New Orleans, and STILL DON'T HAVE THE FUCKING BACKGROUND CHECK, AND STILL CAN'T SEND IN THE APPLICATION. Nice retired Jewish ladies who volunteer for the NOLA NBC affiliate's "on your side" feature made some phone calls for me to the Records Department (selective records, one might say...) and swore up & down that the women in the NOPD-RD had "JUST RECEIVED" my money order & form in the mail THAT DAY (Thursday). Still not here. Yeah, I know, knock me over with a fucking feather.

And yes, I fucking *know,* I should've moved to Seattle with Dan & Tammy when I had the fucking chance. If somebody could explain the schematics of schlepping my crippled, 4th-time-broken ass and all my shit, not to mention 2 very ornery old cats, ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH NO BUDGET AND NO BACK-UP, I'd love to hear it. I sure as hell couldn't figure it out at the time, and still can't.

I don't even know where I'll store my few remaining sticks of furniture while I'm sleeping in the truck as of the first of May. And nope, no offers from THEM, whatta shock. THEY just bought an entirely new suite of tacky-assed living-room furniture and the SIXTH washer-and-dryer set in the past five years. And yup, they'd stolen it out of her Death Camp Cottage BEFORE THE BODY WAS EVEN COLD, because they KNEW that she'd picked that color to match my long-lost living room on S. Gayoso Street.

I've been pretty fucking useless most of my life, but this is the first time I've felt fucking HELPLESS since Nannie died. When Tater died, I was too busy trying to acquire components for pipe bombs to feel helpless. When Papa died, I was in Guilt Central and trying to take care of Nannie. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ***EVICTED*** IN MY ENTIRE FUCKING LIFE, AND YET, DESPITE HAVING STARTED APPLYING BACK IN ***JULY***, I STILL HAVE NOWHERE TO GO. How in the FUCK do you deal with THAT?!?!?!? I can't exactly crash a homeless shelter with FURNITURE and CATS and a COMPUTER in tow. To make this experience EVEN MORE FUN, the $700 A/C unit in my truck (and hadda borrow the money from THEM 2 years ago, would rather have had my eyes gnawed-out by a half-blind arthritic badger!!!) though still almost fucking NEW, it is KAPUT. Dead. In 80F-degree weather. Making rude flatulent noises and producing nothing but HOT AIR. So I won't be able to store any perishables on the dash if I have to sleep in it, and the cats are gonna smother me in my sleep. And if I do croak, yes, I *DO* want the cats to eat me, rather than them going HUNGRY, dammit.

BTW, if anybody is aspiring to a career as a hit-woman or hit-man, my Farm Bureau truck insurance/membership comes with a nominal life-insurance policy, so if you make it a clean, painless kill, the good niece (named beneficiary) will prolly cut you in on the proceeds. At least THEN, I will have served a purpose on this earth. Morbid, narcissistic, fucktarded, pick one, I don't care. I've been broke, desperate & deprived 98% of my life, but I've never REALLY been on this particular ledge. So I was SUPPOSED to only lose HALF of my food stamps for JUST THIS MONTH because of her little passive-aggressive stunt, but when I went to the grocery today, to get cokes and milk? Yeah, NOT ONE FUCKING ***CENT*** IN THE FUCKING ACCOUNT. No food stamps what-so-fucking-ever. I get eighty-three whole dollars a month (less than a third of what a breeder would get for JUST ONE INFANT, and that's BEFORE the WIC, WELFARE, and other encouragements that the breeders get to keep grinding-out them servant-class babies!), USUALLY. This month, it was supposed to be FORTY bucks, BECAUSE OF A CHALMATIAN TRAILER-TRASH WHORE.

But somewhere between the lovely conversation with my nice new foodstamp case-worker and the checkout line, I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE FORTY BUCKS.

And no, I'm not asking anybody for a single fucking dime, because I know that y'all are all as fucked as I am right now, and prolly will be for the next year and a half, if not two. Rachel Maddow has been going on for a while now about how the Repubs keep using a certain music piece to scare people. The music in question was composed by an Austrian, and the source were verses in Latin found in the walls of a monastery, if I remember correctly. In Latin. So Carl Orff set them to music, and it became the 'Carmina Burana', a very exciting, and sometimes lyrical piece to listen to. The opening piece is O Fortuna. Maddow loves playing this to show how this music is being used as scare tactics. Well, no one nowadays speaks Latin... The text says things that I don't think they would approve of. So I dug around in YouTube, and found one with the translation. Since a certain segment of 'Murkins aren't the brightest lights in the chandeliers, the music seems to scare them. Seemingly... It is supposed to have been a bit 'pagan', I guess. There are other clips with better audio, but take a look at what that music REALLY means.

Vermont Senate tells big corporate energy company Entergy what they can do. Wednesday they voted by a margin of 26-4 that Vermont Yankee should retire as scheduled. Entergy the giant California based corporation that owns Vermont Yankee wanted to have the 38 year old decrepit, accident prone, falling apart plant relicensed for another 20 years. Vermont Yankee is the oldest operating nuclear power generation plant in the country. It has WOODEN cooling towers!! One of which collapsed a couple of years ago due to rot! Entergy has lied about problems at the plant and failed to reserve funds for it's closing as required by their licensing. They have also been spending millions of dollars the past few months on slick ads and lobbying to influence the Vermont Legislature. They have now found out the the Vermont Senate is NOT the US Senate. While the US Senate may be only too happy to sell out their constituents for a few strings of beads luckily for Vermonters our state Senators know better. GOOD ON THEM!!

...that I see a film or TV production that makes me jealous and makes me wish that I were still involved in filmmaking, but this one did. "HIP-HOP: Beyond Beats & Rhymes" is excellent documentary filmmaking by Byron Hurt, and I encourage everyone to watch it, because it's about AMERICAN culture, not black or white or what-the-fuck-ever. It's part of who we ALL are, whether we actively participate in hip-hop culture or not.

BUT: Byron neglected a huge fucking HUNK of hip-hop history and culture, one that's been deleted by the frightened white men who run the music corporations, from Sony to Clear Channel: BLACK WOMEN. I grew up on "Black Reign" by Queen Latifah; every single that Salt 'N Pepa (hell yes, we need to "Talk About Sex," we need to put sex-ed BACK INTO OUR FUCKING SCHOOLS!!!) put out; MC Lyte, even if she IS a damned "christian," she was NOT a woman be called a "bitch" or a "ho," for damned sure! SO many women were kicking-ass and taking names in music when I was in high school, and somehow, it never occurs to Byron to ask, "WHERE ARE THESE POWERFUL BLACK WOMEN *NOW*, and why don't we HEAR FROM strong black women in rap & hip-hop anymore?" Yes, I *am* far behind on this month's birfdays, but as our only January birfdays are very late in the month, I'd like to think that the birfday chirrens would enjoy your good wishes closer to their actual birf dates. Plus, y'know, Haiti is damned near fallen off the fucking planet, so we've had more important things to discuss, as cold-hearted as that may sound to our birfday chirrens. I don't mean to sound cavalier about my friends & beloveds birfdays, as they are MY only holidays (except for those now-extinct opportunities to play dress-up on Halloween), and I celebrate them heartily, because I am so grateful to have these people in my life.

That's more than enough prelude, so let's knock these suckers out, shall we?

JANUARY:

25th: Oldest Niece, a rather fickle little redheaded heifer whom I've obviously spoiled far too rotten... She's about to be TWENTY-SIX, which makes ME about as old as fucking DIRT. Hey, she laughed as she peed on me as I was changing her teeny little preemie diapers, I'm allowed to bitch.

26th: A somewhat almost-equally spoiled-rotten young'un, our recalcitrant former M.O.B. mobster "NEAL-O," who is now officially OLDER THAN ME!!! I belieeeeeve that the number is "40," but he tends to switch those numbers around on me from time to time, so we'll see what he claims THIS year... We fell out a while back, but got back in touch on the Katrina anniversary, and oh holy fuck, if *I* ever thought that *I* had it "hard," medically-speaking, *I* ain't seen SHIT. Srsly. But he keeps a stiff upper lip and an even stiffer nose in the air, so I imagine that he'll outlive me just so that he can dance on my grave... Laugh's on him, though, 'cause I'm gonna be CREMATED and dumped into the ocean!

31st: Our dearly-beloved but far-too-infrequent BustedNuckles, he o' the fun and sardonic blog, "Ornery Bastard," and, I think, a few moons older than me. Couldn't swear to it in court, but it's a pretty good guess. He's been a good, if busier-than-a-one-legged-cat-covering-up-shit-in-a-hurricane, friend to me for quite a few moons, and I'm damned glad to have him in my corner. That man can do things with a house-trailer that no engineer could ever possibly conceive or execute, and if I ever DO hit the fuckin' Powerball, he is SOOOOO comin' down here to help me build my solar/wind-powered, hurricane-, tornado-, flood-proof concrete house. Hey, I don't just DREAM, I draw BLUEPRINTS, dammit. And I know the best people to have on my work crew, 'cause they'll nail the subcontractors' asses to the concrete walls with a hydraulic nail gun IN A FUCKING HEARTBEAT.

That's our January birfday chirren, and yep, they're all gonna have to wait 'til after the first of February to get their prezzies, 'cause Ranty Aunty Annti is down to her last ten bucks, her last pack of cigarettes, and am going to have to cut into MY cats' food in order to keep feeding the semi-ferals here @ L'Hotel des Fouquetards, for whom I still have not found a new home (as I'm evicted in April, I don't want the LandSkanky to get the chance to murder any MORE of them). Yup, even other people's birfdays are alllllll about me. Maybe that's why people keep dropping outta my life like Avondale styrofoam off of the space shuttle...

FEBRUARY BIRFDAYS:

This is the busy month --- apparently a whoooole lotta people are getting laid in July...

10th: Mrs. Frau Fugit, the woman who keeps our Mentis Fugit's body & soul together, as well as co-parenting/raising a couple of pretty damned remarkable kids. Here's hoping that her birfday prezzie will get over the equator and around the world before her NEXT birfday! She is a truly remarkable person, not just for her accomplishments, but also 'cause she helped get our own beloved Mentis all good & growed-up, a herculean feat beyond compare... heh heh heh...

11th: Our very own prolific and hellaciously-dedicated TERRIBLE, who keeps his congresscritters on their toes and skeered shitless, which is how they ALL oughta be!!! I don't think that I can ever properly explain what a true and good friend that Terrible has been to me, no matter which one of us is broker at any given time, but I will say that I know that he is one person that I know will always have my back. He is not alone in that, certainly, but he is a friend that I will never ever have any excuse to doubt. In other words, when it comes to "good people," Terrible's at the top of the food chain.

13th: Not just Peter Tork, but our old friend REALIST, who has also come back into my life via the Katrina anniversary, and I could not be more glad about it. Not just 'cause he makes some hellacious cookies & gingerbread in his own right, but also because I missed his ornery ol' ass. And I'm sure that it shickles him titless to always be reminded that he shares a birfday (and possibly a birf year? Heh...) wif a Monkee...

24th: Our dearly beloved, if somewhat infrequent, Larkspur, one of the best commenters on the innernets toobs (we met AGES ago @ Jesus' General, back in the heady days of the Womens' Auxillary, I do believe, but then, I am notoriously senile, so if I'm wrong, Larky-Poo, lemme know) and one helluva good woman in her own right. I can't seem to lay hands upon a blog link or blogger profile link for her right now, like that's new (Just Say No To Ambulance-Chasing "Lawyers" --- Drugs Make You Senile!), but y'all know how to find her when you need her, 'cause she's always been here for me.

And that concludes this & next month's birfdays, I may put up a reminder in February, depending on the news cycle, etc., but hey, now y'all have a running head-start on prezzies/e-cards/stripper-grams/porno subscriptions/etc. for all of our birfday chirrens! On the other hand, when you think of Paula Abdul your first thoughts are of wholesomeness and family values?

Just because the word "sex" is part of the word "homosexual," the same as it is with "heterosexual," doesn't mean that homosexuality is all about sex, any more than heterosexuality is all about sex. Ellen DeGeneres is a lovely person in a stable, loving relationship. Not saying that this is the best film MADE or RELEASED in 2009, but it sure as hell helped ME get outta there with a bang, in a manner of speaking. "FUCK: A Documentary," while not as thorough linguistically or culturally as I would have liked, is still one helluva hoot. Brilliant animation segments by the inimitable Bill Plympton (the Bill Hicks of modern, post-"Liquid Television" animation!!!), interviews with & quotes from everybody from HST to Lenny Bruce to the always-adorable Billy Connolly, Janeane Garafalo, pretty much everybody short of Pryor, Kinison & Hicks. It is, as Connolly says, the consummate word, and probably the first word ever spoken as our gilled, slime-covered ancestors slithered up out of the primordial ooze. If you've ever seen his bit about when his father was recovering from his stroke, you'll be on the floor with this material. Great flick, coulda used a bit more of an investment in research, but well worth the watch/rent/purchase. Pisses me off that Drew Carey enunciates a film that *I'VE* always wanted to do but haven't, the so-called sequel to "FUCK" --- "CUNT!"

Ah well, he still didn't come up with "SPRUNT!", now did he.

At any rate, it's worth the watch, and it will, most likely, make you smile and laugh a good bit. Why they didn't just roll video/film/tape/what-the-fuck-ever and let Hunter tell stories, I have no fucking idea, but y'know, I'm fixated like that.

And just in case anybody ever wonders what I do with my seemingly copious amounts of "free time," now that I can no longer wrangle feral cats (and the transition from traditional painkillers to this new shit AIN'T FUCKIN' WORKING, PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!), here's a big fucking chunk of it: STILL FEEDING THE SIX FERAL CATS WHO LIVE HERE. Again, YES, I know the astronomical odds against it ever actually happening FOR ME, but fuck, for three bucks a week, I get to DREAM for a couple of days, since I can't even afford to send-in-the fucking forty-page applications for new subsidized/disabled-housing in Lafayette. We have figured a way to enhance the tradition of decorating a tree for Jesus at Christmas by adding a cross that acts as a reminder of Him. By changing our tree to include a cross, we are making a statement that we want to keep our Christmas holiday! Our new tree and decorations ideas will not only help to enhance our celebration of the Christmas holiday but will help to enlighten those who may decorate for Christmas but may not be "Christians."
